How to convert high version Charactor Studio to low version?

Hi there guys.
I did some animation with Charactor Studio in 3DS MAX 2009.
I want convert these files into 3DS MAX 8.
So I save *.fig and *.bip in 3DS MAX 2009.
But I cann’t open them in 3DS MAX 8.
What’s the difference between *.fig in 3DS MAX 2009 and *.fig and in 3DS MAX 8.

How could I do this?

if you want the animation to be transfered…you can exoort as fbx file and import it back in max 8
