Rigging TD - Axis Animation

Award-winning animation studio Axis Animation creates stunning animation for some of the world’s leading names in Games, Commercials, Broadcast and Film. Founded in 2000, the studio prides itself in producing high quality innovative animation from their base in Glasgow, Scotland.
Recent works include the episodic Halo: Infinity for Halo 4, game trailers for popular titles such as Dead Island 2, Crackdown, Alien Isolation, Fable Legends, as well as various film, television and commercials work in conjunction with sister studio Axis VFX.

Job description:

Axis Animation is looking for a Rigging TD for both next generation game cinematics and commercials projects, who will be responsible to develop realistic skeletal rigs and
skinning, for full time and project positions.

Responsibilities:

[ul]Develop realistic skeletal rigs for a variety of humanoids, creatures and props.[/ul]
[ul]Create tools with Python and MEL scripts to generate rigs in a procedural manner.[/ul]
[ul]Work with senior TD’s to develop and integrate tools into a robust pipeline.[/ul]

Requirements:

[ul]Good knowledge of anatomy and a thorough understanding of biomechanics, kinesiology for humanoid and animals.[/ul]
[ul]Thorough understanding of weighting, skinning and be able to work interactively with modelers to resolve challenges.[/ul]
[ul]Good communication skill and ability to work interactively with the rest of the team.[/ul]
[ul]Ability to rig characters/objects in a realistic or cartoon manner.[/ul]
[ul]Good MEL scripting, Python scripting skills.[/ul]
[ul]Experience with Marvelous Designer, cloth, muscles and dynamics are a plus.[/ul]
[ul]Maya API, C++ skills are a plus.[/ul]
