Renderable Frame counter in maya

Hi all,

Can anyone help me find a way to render frame counter in maya. I have tried with annotation parented to camera with expression but annotations cant be rendered.
I tried with 3d text too but my scene file is very high that i cant create 3d text for every frame.

why dont you just put a framecounter on your renders with AE? it is a lot safer that way.

playblasts can render HUDs, not sure about the main software renderer tho.

Actually, i have very huge scene with all 4k textures. so, it is very hard to make a playblast.
I have worked out and found a solution for this. i want to share with you.
when i save a file, i store all the camera data, username, framerange and etc in a text document. After render has done, using ffmpeg i convert the imagesequence to a movie with text information (which i have stored earlier) printed on every image.

Nice solution, if you want maya solution next time it’s probably possible to create expression to link 3D text with frame number. I have never tried this however, nice ffmpeg solution either way.
