Looking for a Technical Artist

Tripwire Interactive is looking for a Technical Artist to join the Tripwire family. Developer of the critically acclaimed Red Orchestra series and the smash hit Killing Floor series, Tripwire has a history of developing some of the most popular multiplayer games in the world. Now we have grown to the point where the Technical Artist role within the company requires a full-time, experienced professional. Major Responsibilities:
Create and maintain creature, weapon, and character animation rigs in MotionBuilder
Integrate characters and weapons into the game engine
Collaborate with the animation department to improve their workflow and troubleshoot problems
Work directly with character artists and engineers to ensure assets are created and integrated into the game at the highest possible quality level
Prototype rigging and deformation solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of game characters
Anticipate problems and inefficiencies and provide solutions
Process motion capture data and prepare it for animation
Requirements:
A demo reel or web portfolio showing strong technical abilities, especially those related to character deformation and animation controls
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a rigger / technical artist in games or related field
Advanced knowledge and experience in MotionBuilder, as well as 3DS Max or Maya
Proficient with Python scripting
Demonstrated ability to show initiative in problem solving and providing proactive technical solutions
Thorough understanding of character deformation and the needs of an animation team
Well organized; ability to self-track tasks and deliver consistent results
Positive attitude, works well in a team environment
Solid understanding of the needs and constraints of game animation systems

Desirable:
Experience in Unreal
Experience with python scripting in MotionBuilder, especially animation tool creation
Experience with motion capture data
3D modeling skills
