Graphics Programmer - Red Pill VR | Marshmallow Laser Feast - Los Angeles

Red Pill VR | Marshmallow Laser Feast are looking for experienced Graphical Programmers. The ideal candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams creating new immersive and emotional experiences powered by music in VR. A high level of technical knowledge complemented by strong creative and visual instincts are critical.

Role Responsibilities:

[li]Work with artists and designers to implement musical inspired VR visual effects within Epic’s Unreal Engine 4.
[/li][li]Extend our existing renderer to support new rendering capabilities.
[/li][li]Optimizing and parallelizing code.
[/li][li]Use profiling to optimize content with the aid of diagnostic tools. Developing tools to support the asset-creation pipeline.
[/li][li]Other duties may be assigned.
[/li][/ul]

Requirements:
[ul]
[li]Deep and intuitive knowledge of the theoretical fundamentals of rendering and modern 3D graphics techniques.
[/li][li]Extensive experience working on low level 3D graphics APIs.
[/li][li]Excellent understanding of shader languages, HLSL in particular.
[/li][li]Experience with Unreal Engine 4 features.
[/li][li]Excellent understanding of C/C++ and Object Oriented design principles. Excellent physics and mathematics skills.
[/li][li]Commitment to code quality, documentation and testing procedures. Passion for music and the development of experiences.
[/li][li]Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and interest in working within a dynamic and cooperative environment.
[/li][/ul]

Additional Skills (not essential to the position but assists in choosing candidates):

[li]Experience with VR/AR.
[/li][li]Understanding of music theory and structures
[/li][li]A familiarity with art and animation pipelines.
[/li][li]A basic understanding of content management systems. Surfing.
[/li][/ul]
