UI/UX Designer - Red Pill VR | Marshmallow Laser Feast - Los Angeles

Red Pill VR | Marshmallow Laser Feast are looking for experienced UI/UX designers to work on music based VR experiences. The ideal candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to prototype and implement iterative UI/UX elements for musical VR journeys. This is an opportunity to create the language standard for future VR interaction.

Role Responsibilities:

[li]Identify requirements and design how users interact with emotional experiences in VR.
[/li][li]Design wireframes, mockups, and storyboards to illustrate user interface flows. Researching UI/UX trends and technology in the VR space.
[/li][li]Expertise of traditional Graphic Design, but some comfort with 3D modeling, animation, game design and even a dash of programming.
[/li][li]Be the visionary of user interface. Design the best pathways to help guide players through menus and interactions easily and intuitively.
[/li][li]Work closely with all disciplines - code, art, design, audio, animation, fx - to create optimal UI/UX. Take initiative to get things done.
[/li][li]Be forward thinking & proactive in terms of finding ways to improve the design of the game’s UI across the board with minimal direction.
[/li][li]Immerse yourself into the vision we’re creating frequently and know it thoroughly throughout its development.
[/li][/ul]

Requirements:
[ul]
[li]A portfolio of professional UI/UX work, ideally VR related.
[/li][li]Strong illustration, graphic and typography skills.
[/li][li]Experience working within Unreal Engine 4.
[/li][li]Deep understanding of the connections between UI functionality and UI aesthetics, and how to maximize impact for the benefit of users.
[/li][li]Strong technical skills & knowledge.
[/li][li]Exemplary problem solver who takes ownership and responsibility. Collaborate with designers on iterative UX design & implementation. Excellent aesthetic taste and the ability to communicate with artists. Passionate about VR and music!
[/li][li]Ability to adapt to multiple visual styles.
[/li][/ul]

Additional Skills (not essential to the position but assists in choosing candidates):

[li]Experience with VR/AR.
[/li][li]Comfort with other disciplines – modeling, vfx, audio and code.
