TRIXTER Film Munich is currently looking for an IT / Sys Administrator Intern.
Duration of the contract: 6 months
Location: Munich, Germany
Responsibilities
Supporting the senior System Administrator in all of his tasks, which are the following:

Strategy and Planning
o Determine opportunities for improvement of current IT systems
o Analyse the information needs of a global organisation, and develop technology solutions to meet those needs
o Assess future IT needs by consulting with people at all levels of the company
o Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms -
Implementation and Deployment
o Deal with IT vendors, suppliers and data center partners to buy IT assets
o Select and set up web-based internal communications systems, such as a wiki, blog, chatroom, project management, and bug tracking systems
o Select, deploy, and monitor performance profiling tools and procedures
o Apply necessary software and firmware updates to server and seeding updates to downstream systems and network infrastructure
o Install and configure all software and hardware within the company as well as new systems
o Software license management
o Take care of D-to-D and D-to-T backups -
Operational Management
o Manage the information technology to ensure it supports the goals of the organisation
o Ensure the efficient running of the IT infrastructure
o Ensure company technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Requirements
- Familiar with more than one software development methodology.
- Ability to discern user requirements and develop specifications
- Prior experience with UNIX system administration
- Great analytical and trouble-shooting skills
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and technologies including wireless network technologies and traditional phone and electrical infrastructure
- Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management
- Ability to discuss IT related matters with both technical and non-technical people
- Keen attention to detail
- Keeping an eye on up-to-date technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies and software development best practices
