Senior Technical Artist

Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Quantum Break® and Alan Wake®, and one of the leading independent game studios in the world is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to help realize our vision. You’ll be working closely with the animation and character teams to take our world class characters to the next level. Your challenges will include creating animation tools and advanced deformations schemes bridging the gap between feature films and AAA game character rigs.

Requirements
• Fast learner. You can learn new things fast and aren’t intimated by challenges.
• At least 3 years of experience with character rigging.
• At least 2 years of experience in game development.
• You’d be working with Maya and Motion Builder, so experience in their APIs is necessary.
• Math skills. You know your linear algebra.
• Scripting skills using Python and Qt are necessary.
• Experience working with motion capture.
• Passion for games. We like developing games as much as we like playing them, and so should you.

Extra credit for
• Programming skills. C/C++, especially in creating plugins for Motion Builder and Maya.
• Experience with animation, walk cycles and beyond.
• A good eye. You know art and you know what looks good.
• Experience with simulation. Offline or runtime, you know the core concepts of physics simulation.
• Software knowledge. You know your way around 3dsmax, Havok and Morpheme just to name a few
• Other programming and scripting skills like C# and LUA
