TinyCo is looking for a Rigging Technical Artist!

Job Description
TinyCo is currently looking for a talented Technical Artist / Rigger to join our tightly knit group of artists and animators! The ideal candidate will have experience in games and a strong passion for creating rigs. You will be responsible for using various tools & protocols to enhance the existing pipeline, and work closely with fellow artists & engineers on art implementation to the game.

In order to be considered you MUST provide us with either a link to an online portfolio, website or a demo reel showcasing recent work upon application submittal.

This role requires you to be onsite in San Francisco, CA. No remote work at this time.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO EVERY DAY
[ul]
[li]Create rigs for characters, props and buildings
[/li][li]Build, maintain and troubleshoot pipeline for toon and 3D visual effects.
[/li][li]Identify redundancies in our workflow and provide solutions for automation.
[/li][li]Provide feedback to modelers to enhance the quality of the rigs
[/li][li]Provide rigging and skinning feedback to outsource studios
[/li][li]Create auto-rigs for existing and new games
[/li][li]Help to drive and direct overall character and asset pipeline for future project needs, with tool/workflow development geared towards extensibility and flexibility for upcoming needs
[/li][li]Develop and maintain tools for the production pipeline, particularly for modeling, animation, and rigging
[/li][li]

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
[ul]
[li]Must have worked on at least two 3D games from conception to completion
[/li][li]Extended rigging knowledge in Maya
[/li][li]Experience working with game engineers
[/li][li]Must be well-rounded at the whole 3D pipeline, especially modelling and animation
[/li][li]Understanding of the technical limitations of mobile gaming production
[/li][li]Understanding of character design and animation, as it relates to rig development
[/li][li]Experienced in PyMel, Python
[/li][li]Art Degree
[/li][/ul]

NICE TO HAVE
[ul]
[li]Shader creation / coding experience
[/li][li]Familiarity with Maya Python API
[/li][li]Experience leading a design and/or art team for either iPhone or Android applications
[/li][/ul]
