TRIXTER Munich is currently looking for an experienced Head of IT:
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing all technology operations (network security, data security, physical security) and evaluating them according to production goals
• Consulting, managing also delivering IT solutions
• Mentoring and providing guidance to the IT personnel in both TRIXTER companies located in Munich and Berlin
• Devising and establishing IT policies and system to support production
• Analyzing business requirements of all departments to determine technology needs
• Identifying the needs for upgrades, configurations or new systems and directly report to Head of Technology
• Working in close collaboration with the internal software engineering team
• Controlling hardware and software investments and updating their status to Accounting
• Building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient deals
• Purchasing efficient and cost effective equipment and software
Requirements:
• Proven experience as IT leader or similar role, minimum 5 years
• Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specs
• Good understanding of computer systems (hardware and software), networks, etc.
• Experience in controlling IT budget
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Very good communication capabilities
• Extensive knowledge in:
o Linux-Unix operating system (redhat, centos, openbsd, solaris).
o VMWare, vSphere hypervisor
o Network switches, DELL (N-series, Force10-series, OOB)
o ZFS file system, glustreFS, system services (samba, dns, dhcp, ldap,…)
• Experience in VFX business will be a good add-on
• An existing Work Permit in Germany
