[ Question ] About blendshapes, influence objects and muscle system

Hello everyone, do you think it is an overkill to use maya’s pose editor for each finger knuckle or should I use influence objects (geometry)? Will my character get slower with new prebuilt pose editor?

And another question is do you think maya muscle is worth learning or blendshapes are still more feasible in feature animation?
